Jason Smith

IFS, et al, Founder & President

Jason has worked in the construction industry since 1998. As the founder and president of Quality Insulation & Roofing in 2012, also known as IFS, et al, he oversees all aspects of his group of companies, including, operations, commercial projects, selling strategies, bidding approvals, quality control and the strategic direction for the company and its subsidiaries. Jason possesses deep experience with building high-performing teams, and his strong interpersonal skills translate to the deep relationships he has developed and maintained with Quality’s customer and referral base, as well as their suppliers.
 
As a key strategy of his success, Jason has focused on building teams that possess the passion and experience to not just succeed, but to perform at their best and outperform the competition. Jason states, “I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve and truly look forward to the future of our organization as well as the future of the insulation industry.”
 
Jason and his company are respected and well-known throughout the contractor community in the largest markets in Texas. He has industry expertise in all aspects of the insulation trade, especially in the largest and most competitive Texas metro markets.
 
Jason lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities like dirt biking in the mountains, marlin fishing offshore, and especially spending time on the lake with his family.

GENE WALTERS

Vice President of Operations

Gene has been with Quality Insulation & Roofing since June of 2020, bringing with him 19 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager for Silver Eagle, an Anheuser Busch distributor.

Gene’s responsibilities at Quality Insulation & Roofing involve assuring productivity and efficiency while seeking to reduce costs. He manages other key employees within several departments, helping them achieve their company-wide goals.

Gene’s deep understanding of our products and services, as well as current industry trends, allows him to maximize benefits to our many customers.

Outside of work, Gene enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, golfing, and taking his wife and grandchildren out on Lake Conroe in his boat for a day of recreation and fun.

Jeff Winslow

Sales Manager

Jeff has been with Quality Insulation & Roofing since 2013 and has worked in the construction industry since 1994, most notably as Division Manager for Masco-Truteam.
 
He is responsible for overseeing daily operations for the sales team throughout the state, including hiring and training sales staff, developing new business, and keeping his team informed of critical industry practices. Jeff is OSHA Certified, an Owens Corning® Certified Energy Expert®, and holds certifications in spray foam application as well as sales training.

Justin Uselton

Regional Operations Manager

Justin joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in January of 2020 with 12 years of construction experience, including several years working in the Texas oilfields.

He focuses on ensuring accuracy and professionalism in his day-to-day responsibilities of job scheduling, job costing, materials procurement, business development and customer service. Justin also continues to build on his knowledge through courses in building code updates and new industry practices.

“The key to success in my job is organization, customer relations and the ability to adjust on the fly. I enjoy the fact that no day is exactly the same, because I like being a problem-solver.”

When it’s time to unwind, Justin can typically be found on the golf course or in a woodworking shop. He also enjoys spending much of his time relaxing and traveling. 

Chad Kirby

Operations Manager

Chad has been an integral part of the business since 2021, bringing with him a decade of experience in the spray foam industry and five years as CEO of his own company. In his current role as Operations Manager, he is responsible for keeping projects on track and on budget.

Chad’s favorite parts of the job are procurement, logistics and problem-solving. Because of his experience, knowledge and professionalism, he is able to lead our customers through the potentially stressful process of building a house or completing a complex commercial project with relative ease.

Chad and his family enjoy outdoor activities, especially anything having to do with water – like visiting beaches and spending time on the lake. He and his family also value any activities that serve their community and church.

Shawn Fullen

Business Development Manager - Quality Northside Roofing

Shawn joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in 2014 as a Business Development Manager for the Roofing Division, bringing with him 20 years of industry experience.

He oversees the success of our commercial and residential roofing jobs from the bidding process all the way through to completion. Educated at McNeese State University, he continues to build on his extensive industry knowledge by earning certifications, most recently in Mule Hide TPO applications and CertainTeed and Owens Corning shingle applications.

Shawn believes that hard work and dedication are the key to making sure customers are happy with the finished product. “You have to work at communicating and understanding the customers’ expectations along the way, so the process leads to success.” 

When he’s not working, Shawn enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his family.

Dustin Marshall

Operations Manager – Conroe

Dustin joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in April 2021 as Warehouse Manager/Inside Sales, bringing with him 12 years of experience in the oilfield construction and drilling supplies industry. He quickly became the Operations Manager at our Conroe location.

Dustin is responsible for data entry, field takeoff, contract review, sales to operations and also serves as the administrative liaison between our office and those in the field.

His performance principle is simple. “I strive to get our customers through the job quickly and efficiently and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner so they can move on to the next project.”

Dustin loves to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

Mike Hill

Operations Manager - Quality Insulation Machines

Mike joined the Quality team in 2011 and currently does Research and Development for the Quality Insulation Machines arm of the business. In day-to-day operations, he oversees product being built from start to finish.

Mike knows the importance of customer service and always tries to ensure that all his customers are satisfied with the product purchased. He strongly believes in doing whatever it takes to meet or exceed customer expectations.

In his time away from work, Mike likes outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and riding horses. He also values his family time with grandchildren and likes to support them in their favorite pastime…horses.

Marco Sanchez

Spanish Speaking Interpreter/Company Liaison

Marco has been with the Quality team since 2005, starting as an insulation installer, then quickly gaining knowledge about all aspects of the business, which steered him into his current role.

As a Company Liaison, Marco spends time with the crews from Quality Conroe supervising and scheduling projects, interpreting for the HR department, and performing job costing and Certified Payroll reporting for the company.

Marco is currently a Certified Energy Expert (Level 1 & 2), a certified Forklift Operator and has completed OSHA 10 training; he continues to build on his extensive knowledge every day to support his co-workers and customers. Marco truly values continuous learning and recognizes how important it is “to slow down in order to take bigger steps forward.”

In his free time, Marco enjoys spending time with his wife and children at the lake and cooking out.

John Dennis

Operations Manager – Dallas

John joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in March of 2021 with a wealth of education and experience.

After graduating from ITT with and Electrical Engineering degree, he spent 15 years working in the oil and gas industry, first as a Field Supervisor, then Operations Manager and finally as Project Manager.

His day-to-day responsibilities at Quality Insulation include scheduling jobs, dispatching crews, and conducting job walks for our projects in the Dallas area.

John says that taking care of all customers is paramount and when he serves them well, that’s when he can take pride in his work.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending his time with his wife and three children.

Donnie Sorgman

Operations Manager – Austin

Donnie joined us in 2022 with over 14 years of experience in the construction trades. His role is quality control, job site coordination and keeping things running smoothly with our customers and employees.

Donnie has expertise in TPO, hot mop, shingle and metal roofing and is certified in the state of Texas for structural integrity and mold identification/remediation.

He enjoys the challenge of working on massive and complex projects. It allows him to use his skills to help the team through communication, proper scheduling and problem-solving in the field.

Donnie considers himself an avid outdoorsman and gunsmith, so naturally, much of his free time is spent playing with guns.

Gordon Bowden

Operations Manager – Ft Worth

Gordon joined the Quality team in 2020 with 25 years of experience in the insulation industry, along with several years in retail management.

He oversees our insulation projects by verifying the correct application and specifications, as well as IEC codes for each. Gordon is responsible for confirming the crews, tools, equipment and materials so our projects can be completed accurately and efficiently.

Gordon grew up helping his grandfather as a brick mason, studied architecture/drafting design, and even received his insurance adjuster license, so he’s familiar with many different facets of the construction industry. In his current role, he enjoys sharing best practices and seeing projects through to completion…under budget whenever possible.

Gordon likes spending his free time with family, especially with his four children and five grandchildren. He also enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, rodeos and hanging out with friends at various music venues.

Christine Smith - Worley

Office Manager

Christine joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in June of 2013, bringing over 30 years of accounting and office management experience to our team. Seven of those years were spent working with a general contractor where she acquired knowledge of the construction industry and construction accounting.

As office manager, she oversees multiple day-to-day functions, such as Quick Books Management, Accounts Receivable, Legal, and General office related questions and/or Issues. She also assists with contract reviews, banking, CPA Reporting, and accounts payable for all divisions within our organization.

“I believe delivering total customer satisfaction is required to be successful and that achieving that will always set us apart from others. The ability to multitask and adjust to an everchanging environment is key to making this happen and our staff is trained and prepared for whatever comes their way.”

Family is very important to Christine and much of her time away from work is spent with her mom, siblings, children, and grandchildren. She also likes to farm and hunt; she loves to be in the outdoors in general.

Nicki Allee

Admin/HR

Nicki joined the Quality team in October 2019 with an Associate’s degree from Lone Star Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Regent University in West Virginia.

She has 20 years of experience in the medical field, as well as many years teaching at various grade levels, from high school to college. For the past 10 years, Nicki has been working in Human Resources and Payroll. At Quality, she is responsible for onboarding new employees, completing weekly payroll submissions and taking care of the day-to-day needs of each employee.

Having been in the service industry nearly her entire working career, Nicki believes that serving others is essential to everything she does. Nicki goes beyond ‘typical’ customer service; she feels it’s her duty to care for all people in a way that’s encouraging and supportive.

Nicki’s faith is central to her life. When she’s not at work, Nicki can be found studying or spending time with her children. She also enjoys spending time outside in nature.

Kendra Norris

Administrative Assistant

Prior to joining Quality Insulation & Roofing in October 2019, Kendra attended Lone Star Community College, then gained experience working in customer service and as a Pharmacy Technician.

Kendra believes customer service is a critical piece of everyone’s job. A team approach to customer service provides the opportunity to answer questions and satisfy the customer from the beginning to the end of a project. This unified approach to ensuring customer satisfaction helps keep customers returning.

“As a team, we make it a priority to improve customer experiences by communicating better and addressing every customer issue to the best of our ability. We all strive to make their experience with Quality Insulation & Roofing extraordinary from start to finish.”

Family life is very important to Kendra; outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family. When time allows, she loves to ride dirt bikes, and take trips with her husband to their favorite island St. John, USVI.

Jennifer O’Keefe

Office Administrator

Jennifer came to Quality Insulation & Roofing in October 2021, bringing with her ten years of experience in the insurance industry and 8 years as an office manager, where she worked directly with homeowners and builders.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include keeping the office running smoothly by handling the situations and questions that arise with each project. She is also instrumental in keeping our fleet of vehicles road-ready, safe and properly documented.

Jennifer goes above and beyond for her customers by trying to get immediate, real-time answers so their waiting time is kept to a minimum. She is well aware that good customer service keeps customers coming back, which keeps us in business.

Her non-work time is 100% devoted to her family. They enjoy taking mini-vacations to different small towns all around Texas.

Dean Preston

Estimator

Dean joined the Quality Insulation & Roofing team in October 2018. Before coming on board, he worked as an estimator for over 17 years with HVAC, emergency power generation, and commercial insulation companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

His role is to supply Outside Sales Representatives in the Dallas/Houston markets with the most accurate commercial insulation takeoff for project bids.

In his spare time, Dean can be found hanging out with his two daughters, enjoying pontoon time on the lake, watching F1 and sailing racing, and cheering on the Dallas Stars.

Aaron Keating

Estimator

Aaron joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in 2016. In previous roles, he worked in sales for construction rental equipment, commercial energy, and windows/doors. He also spent 10 years in transportation operations.

“I work hard to build ongoing relationships, because I do not want a customer to feel like a number. I want my customers to be partners — not just a source of income,” he says.

In his spare time, Aaron likes to play golf and spend time at the pool with his wife and child. His family loves traveling, having visited places like Germany, Jamaica and Ireland. As a Fort Worth native, Aaron supports his local teams, including the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks and Stars, as well as the TCU Horned Frogs.

Blake Ross

Roofing and Insulation Superintendent

Blake joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in the summer of 2021 doing data entry, field take-offs, contract work and collaborating with the Outside Sales team.

He prefers face-to-face interactions with his customers as a way to connect with them. “In this day and age, I believe people prefer a handshake and a proper meeting. I’d much rather have a conversation over lunch or at a job site rather than over the phone.”

When he’s not serving his customers, Blake is an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoys pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors.

BRANDON JENDRUSCH

Sales - Conroe

Brandon became part of the Quality team in 2010. Previously, he had served as a purchasing manager for a large fabrication/machine shop.

In his role, Brandon calls on customers, performs field measuring for jobs, plans takeoffs and conducts follow-ups. He says he strives to customize a solution for his customers that meets their specific needs at a reasonable price.

“Every job, small or large, is personal to me. I treat it as if it was my personal project. The more you do to take care of your customer, the better the relationship becomes,” he explains.

Brandon spends much of his free time with his family. Particularly, he enjoys hanging out with his son, Caden. He also has a passion for inshore saltwater fishing and hunting.

Ricky Hargrove

Sales – Conroe

Ricky joined the team in 2021, bringing over 30 years of sales experience in various industries. He is responsible for getting timely and accurate proposals to our customers, which involves a lot of face-to-face and phone contact.

Ricky has always been in sales and has learned everything on the job, especially the value of good customer service. “The key to success is making sure your customers feel appreciated. They are an integral part of the company and treating them as such is crucial.”

He likes to support his grandchildren in their various sporting activities – one is in baseball, one is in softball and one is in motocross (top 10% in his class!).

Vince Ross

Sales Rep

Vince’s natural affinity for building solid relationships has served him well since joining the Quality team as Sales Rep in 2020.

He has over 30 years of experience in the car and truck industry as a sales manager and finance director. At Quality, he uses those skills to build new business and communicate with customers and crews to ensure successful outcomes for our projects.

Vince’s key to success is having a plan and goals. But even more important is his relationships with customers. “I like just being able to interact with people every day. Some say I know everyone in Texas,” he says.

When he’s not working, Vince enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing, as well as spending time with his family.

Duffy Frazier

Sales – Plano

Duffy joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in 2016, bringing decades of industry experience to the team. His responsibilities include growing current relationships, prospecting for new customers, doing plan takeoffs, visiting jobsites, and conducting bid negotiations.

Duffy always tries to stay ahead of code changes so he can be a resource for his customers. He frequently attends training and continuing education sessions and stays informed on industry updates. “When my customers think about insulation, I want them to think of me as their ‘Easy Button.’ I want them to know I am always available and willing to help them with their needs and questions. I believe going above and beyond for the customer is a mentality, a way of life, a culture,” he says.

He notes that excellent customer service involves every individual at Quality. “From our trained installers, field supervisors, administrative staff, management, and ownership, we all work as a team to be the best at what we do and that makes the sale easy,” he explains.

Outside of work, you can find Duffy spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Rick Martin

Sales – Dallas

Rick joined Quality Insulation & Roofing in 2020. In previous roles, he worked in golf course construction/management, sports field construction, and commercial waterproofing/rigid insulation.

At Quality, Rick is responsible for sales in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. His days consist of consulting with customers, completing takeoffs and proposals, and visiting jobsites when needed.

When working with customers, Rick says he tries to see everything from their point of view. “I want to build strong relationships, so my customers know they can trust me. I know the responsibilities they have, so I just try to make my part easier for them.”

In his free time, Rick enjoys ‘stuggling at golf’, watching his favorite OSU Cowboys, and simply taking the time to laugh and enjoy life.

Rebecca Tidwell

Inside Sales Administrator

Rebecca joined Quality Roofing & Insulation in 2022 as an Administrator for the Inside Sales team. She has over 20 years of experience providing team support for various industries, such as collision and moving services.

She enjoys helping the Sales team stay organized with her expertise in spreadsheet creativity, note-taking abilities, and experience with various software apps and products. She believes the key to success is providing start-to-finish services on every project so everything stays on track.

In her free time, Rebecca loves to be outdoors, preferably fishing or hiking. She also enjoys spending time at the gym.
